For some, putting together an outfit is hard enough so when it comes to jazzing it up, the challenge becomes a little bit more complex. There are three key tricks to adding a touch of glam to your outfit.
Jewelry
Jewellery is an essential element to planning an outfit. It adds an instant touch of glam. Choosing the right jewellery outfit is important. If you go matchy-matchy, your outfit will be either dull or overwhelming, depending on how vibrant the colour is. For instance, if you are the type who loves strong bright colours like neon pink, wearing matching neon pink jewellery and neon pink manicure can be a little blinding! You can either match your accessories to the colour of your outfit, or you can play it safe and opt for gold, silver or bling… no matter what they always work!
A few of my friends and colleagues find accessorising their outfit to be a real challenge, so I created a style guide to help them and you out! Click here to download the pdf. Shoes & Bags
A great way to add drama to an outfit is by adding a pop of colour! If you’re wearing a little black dress and want to create impact, a pair of red pumps will do the trick, alternatively, metallic sandals look stunning with a black dress. A patterned clutch or shoes will be a nice way to break up or blend in the colours of your outfit. When it comes to choosing your shoes, consider getting a pedicure if you intend on wearing peep toe heels; otherwise opt for closed toe shoes.

Hair and Makeup
For me, hair and makeup are an essential part of your overall look and choosing to compromise on either of them will make your look incomplete. Wearing makeup to an event is not optional, in my view. You don’t have to go all out, you can simply add a touch of lipstick or wear eyeshadow. When it comes to your hair, why show up to a wedding with wet, frizzy hair, looking like you just got out of the shower? If you do not wish to get your hair done, put it away neatly in a bun. You’re better off arriving to a function late and looking good then to show up on time looking like you couldn’t be bothered to make the effort. Take the time to look after yourself!
Conclusion
Every part of your look is part of the puzzle that gives people an idea of who you are before you even begin to speak. When you’re planning your look, don’t just focus too hard on your outfit, also take care of your hair and makeup, choose jewellery and accessories that compliment your attire. Always make the effort to complete your look, simply because you are worth it
