Hi and welcome to Pearlivia!
My name is Olivia; I’m the owner of Pearlivia Events.
I grew up in Lebanon in a family where fashion wasn’t just a passion, it was a family business with two fashion designers, a personal stylist and a tailor. I never envisioned growing up that I wanted to be an event planner. I wanted to be a news anchor and that led me to major in Communications, then I continued my studies majoring in (Asian and International Studies) and B.A. (Honours). Deep down, I love styling, all-things weddings and decorating for the holidays.

In my first major corporate job at a publishing firm, I was often approached by colleagues would often ask me for help with styling their outfits for a special event or creating their wedding theme. I felt privileged that they shared aspects about their events that they didn’t share with their closest family and friends!
I initially started posting on Facebook before launching this blog in 2019. I then found myself decorating for the holidays, at home and the office. I also got involved in an interior design project renovating my mother’s alterations shop and did my very first major floral installation as part of the renovation. My newly discovered passion for floral design and interior decorating in addition to my love for all things weddings, led me to complete a certificate in wedding planning and design in 2022.
Weddings can be a challenge for many, from what to wear to how to create a wedding vision. The struggle to design and plan an event can be more challenging for women. Whether they have no one in their family to turn to for help or cannot afford to hire a professional. My goal is to empower women to style and decorate for their events by providing content, resources, and services to make their dream event a reality.
