Hi and welcome to Pearlivia!
My name is Olivia Khoury. I am a certified Event Planner & Designer. I grew up in Lebanon in a family where fashion wasn’t just a passion, it was a family business with two fashion designers, a personal stylist and a tailor. I never envisioned growing up that I wanted to be an event planner. My desire was to be a news anchor, this led me to major in Communications, then I continued my studies and graduated with a B.A. (Asian and International Studies) and a B.A. (Honours). Deep down, I love styling, all-things weddings and decorating for the holidays.

In my first major corporate job at a publishing firm, my colleagues would often ask me for help with styling their outfits for a special event or creating their wedding theme. They shared with me their ‘secret’ Pinterest wedding boards and would send me photos of a mock-up of their centerpiece – they let me in on details they kept away from their closest family and friends! I felt privileged.
One step after another, I found myself decorating for the holidays, at home and the office before I got involved in an interior design project renovating my mother’s alterations shop. I did my very first major floral installation as part of the renovation. Having discovered my passion for floral and interior decorating and since I love all things weddings, I completed a certificate in wedding planning and design in 2022.
Weddings can be a challenge for many, from what to wear to how to create a wedding vision. The struggle to design and plan an event can be more challenging for women who either have no one in their family to turn to for help or cannot afford to hire a professional. My goal with this blog is to empower women to style and decorate for their events by providing content, resources, and services to make their dream event a reality.
